The Towne of Seahaven Panama City Beach Resort property is part of what remains
from over 6,000 acres purchased on the beach in 1924 by 3 development partners,
one of whom was the Bennett family's great-grandfather. Not until the early
1970s did The Towne of Seahaven parcel begin to see development when Bennett
brothers Don and Julian built two motels along the beach. Julian's son,
Clark Bennett opened Sharky's restaurant next in 1987. Finally, in 2000,
Julian's four sons, Mike, Clark, Neel and Derrick, began to envision
The Towne of Seahaven Panama City Beach Resort. Together they formed
Seahaven Development and placed in motion plans for what will become the
cornerstone of a new beginning for Panama City Beach.
